SAVING GAME

In this game you play as the NPC that saves the Player’s game.

To play you must record the Player’s stats from their Hero Card into the sacred tomes as quickly and as accurately as you can. If you take too long the file will corrupt and the Hero will lose their save.

There are three different heroes that can appear, each with different stats so the game has a bit of variety to it.

This game was made in 3 days as part of the AIE Game Jam July 2024 with the theme being YOU are the NPC. 

This game was made by Zac Carpenter (Second Year Game Design and Production Student) in Unity with assets built in Pro Builder, textures made in Krita, and Sprite work done in Paint XP.

*UPDATE 14/07/24

  • Xbox Controller support added
    • L Stick to select Dropdown
    • Press A Button to Select Option
    • Press X button to Reset game
    • Press B button to Turn Off System

*UPDATE 21/10/24

  • Removed Full Screen button from Browser version of the game as it created problems with the timer overlapping the dropdown for the hero name.
  • Added Downloadable version that runs the game in full screen

Great Concept!

Just a one thing Ive noticed...

When in full screen mode the timer bar covers the drop down for the hero name , making it impossible to finish the save properly.

Thanks for pointing that out to me Nova. 

The scaling was messing up when I built the Web GL version so I rebuilt and reuploaded the game without the full screen option.

edit* Added a downloadable version of the game that should hopefully run the game properly in full screen

No problem Zac , you always make interesting games, I'm sure you'll go far as a designer.
